Here at HSCC, we believe there is no critter too tiny to love. And we're big fans of the pint-sized guinea pig. From their sweet wheeks to their snuggly nuzzles to their elated zoomies, these friends know how to have a good time!

Guinea pigs tend to have the longest length of stay at our shelter. While they're compact, they still require specific care to be comfortable. For example, they need fresh veggies twice daily and plenty of clean space to run around (and hide). While we can all agree they're cute, our Small Animal Coordinator, Makayla, suspected they had artistic talent, too. So, she provided paint and canvas (inside a sealed plastic bag) and let their little paws make masterpieces.

Does your home need the elevation of a Pigcasso painting? When you sponsor the care of one of our guineas for $50, we will send you their custom creation to adorn your home. When your guests admire the teensy abstract painting, you can say, "Why, yes, it's the latest Pigcasso original!". And you'll be helping us care for these little artists while they wait to meet their new best friends.

Interested in expanding your art collection while adding some adorable furry friends to your family? Come on in to HSCC and adopt a pair of piggies! You can create your own guinea gallery for all to enjoy!

We can mail your Pigcasso painting (just share the address in the comment section) or you're welcome to pick it up at our shelter (and meet the artist).
